| Spanish abstract | En este artículo se analiza la forma en que se organizaron los Tribunales de Justicia, de acuerdo con la Ley para la organización de los Tribunales y Juzgados del Imperio, del 18 de diciembre de 1865, en conjunción con la Ley de división territorial del Imperio, del 3 de marzo del mismo año, la cual dividió al país en 50 departamentos. El objetivo es comprender, por un lado, una parte del proyecto general de organización de la justicia del gobierno imperial, y, por otro, observar en la práctica cómo se dio este proceso y si fue posible establecer y poner en marcha los 20 tribunales superiores que se plantearon de inicio |
