| English abstract | The article makes a study about the social movements and their resultant projects. The article looks forward to understand the urban problematic production over its deeper aspects: the segregation, the social differences, the violence. Then it asks: is it possible to go beyond the social-economic reasons in wich we live in? Would the social movements be out from the groups and corporations that adopt them? To answer these questions we took concepts from the Social Ciences that allow, in a better way, to comprehend society, the State, the citizen. It also considers the increase of the social needs related to development, structure and occupation on the urban spaces, identified as a place of the most serious insecure and violent situations, and for that reason it becomes a target for the most different social projects |
| Portuguese abstract | O artigo faz um estudo sobre os movimentos sociais e os projetos deles decorrentes. Procura entender a produção da problemática urbana em seus aspectos mais intensos: a segregação, as desigualdades sociais, a violência. Indaga: é possível ir além dos das causas socioeconômicas do contexto em que se vive? Os movimentos sociais seriam absolutamente isentos de interesses por parte dos grupos e corporações que os adotam? Para responder a tais questões foram tomados conceitos das Ciências Sociais que permitem melhor compreender a sociedade civil, o Estado, o cidadão. Considera também a expansão das necessidades sociais diante do crescimento, da estruturação e da ocupação do espaço urbano identificado como local das mais agudas situações de insegurança e violência e, por isso, alvo dos projetos sociais mais diversos |
