| Spanish abstract | El aparato crítico aquí presentado, nos ha servido para ubicar en nuestro momento la obra breve de Juan Rulfo. Y auxiliados por algunas tesis que Algirdas Julián Greimas aportó para el estudio del texto literario breve, hemos llegado a algunas conclusiones que en este trabajo vamos a dar a conocer y a la vez reconocer su importancia en las letras latinoamericanas. El uso que hace de la palabra le da el tono de ternura a las representaciones más terribles y sanguinarias de la muerte. | English abstract | The critical apparatus presented here has helped us to locate, in our time, the brief work of Juan Rulfo. And aided by some thesis of Algirdas Julien Greimas for the study of short literary text, we have come to some conclusions that this paper will raise awareness while recognizing their importance in Latin American letters. His use of the word gives the tone of tenderness to the most terrible and bloody death representations.
