| Spanish abstract | El proceso de descomposición identitaria y la duplicación de personajes se muestran en «Viernes: la hora inmóvil» de Juan Vicente Melo. Estrella Ortega Enríquez realiza un análisis sobre los personajes que sufren un cambio y duplicación de identidad. Esta circunstancia detona en los personajes el deseo de ser otro, convertirse en el otro; ellos se convencen de que pueden no sólo transformarse, sino también transformar su entorno; se lanzan entonces a la búsqueda de un cambio que, al final, resulta imposible. El anhelo de cambio y el esfuerzo ejercido para realizarlo tienen como r esultado el desmoronamiento sistemático del yo, que devuelve a cada protagonista no a su estado primero, sino a su desintegración como sujeto haciéndolo desaparecer |
| English abstract | The process of decomposition of identity and the duplication of characters are present at «Viernes: la hora inmóvil» of Juan Vicente Melo. Estrella Ortega Enríquez analyses the characters that experience a change and a duplication of identity. This circumstance detonates in the characters the wish to be other, to turn into the other one. They become convinced of the possibility of transformation for themselves and their environment. In this way, they look for a change that, finally, is impossible. The wish of change and the effort for making it degenerate into the systematic crumbling of the ego. So, the characters can’t return to their primary state. Every one of them goes to his disintegration as individual and his disappearance |
