| Spanish abstract | La Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas edita en 1985 un libro de cuentos escrito por Renato Prada; lamentablemente no tuvo la difusión necesaria, por lo que es poco conocido. Este trabajo analiza los siete cuentos ambientados durante la dictadura de Hugo Bánzer y encuentra en todos ellos, además de una constante injusticia política en contra de una ideología que denuncia o cuestiona, un interés por la forma de narrar —juego temporal que predomina sobre una narración lineal, distintos tipos de narrador— e indeterminación entre sueño y realidad. Rescata, también, una visión distinta de la obra de Prada: la ironía y el humor, que rompe con los comentarios que han relacionado a la narrativa de este autor únicamente con la «solemnidad existencialista» |
| English abstract | The Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas publishes, in 1985, a book of short stories written by Renato Prada. Unfortunately, this book did not have the necessary dissemination, and it is not well known. This work analyses the seven short stories that happen during the dictatorship of Hugo Bánzer. In all of them, there is a constant political injustice. Prada shows an ideology that denounces or questions and an interest in a narration that is not linear, with different ways of narrator. In his texts, there is an indetermination between dream and reality. Arriarán rescues a different vision of the work of Prada: the irony and humor. This is opposed to the commentaries that only relate the narrative of this author to «existentialist solemnity» |
