| Spanish abstract | El artículo analiza cómo desde la revolución armada de 1910 y durante la construcción del Estado revolucionario las distintas facciones y gobiernos recurrieron al festejo de la independencia y el culto por Miguel Hidalgo, “Padre de la Patria”, como elementos empleados para justificar sus aspiraciones y acceso al poder político. Mostraré que las distintas características y procesos iniciados con la revolución determinaron las nuevas interpretaciones y usos de la historia nacional dirigidos a obtener una legitimidad política desde el ámbito simbólico para justificar la autoridad de los nuevos grupos de poder que ocuparon el lugar de la desplazada clase política porfiriana |
| English abstract | This article therefore analyzes how, since the armed revolution of 1910 and during the construction of the revolutionary state, the various factions and governments resorted to the celebration of Independence and the worship of Miguel Hidalgo, “The Father of the Nation” as grounds for justifying his aspirations and access to political power. The author show that the various features and processes begun with the revolution determined the new interpretations and uses of national history designed to obtain political legitimacy from the symbolic level to justify the authority of the new power groups that took the place of the displaced Porfirian political class |
