| Spanish abstract | psicosociales deberían proponer sus propios requerimientos éticos, sin que esto signifique hacer códigos éticos, ya que no se trata de normatizar el actuar crítico de los investigadores; se trata de que las exigencias éticas surjan de las necesidades inherentes a la investigación social, a través del diálogo y el consenso, del justo reconocimiento de los dilemas éticos que se presentan y del trabajo crítico que se realiza en esta área. Más que estatuir, se trata de proveer conocimientos, destrezas y habilidades en la interacción con las personas; de comprender los deberes de las profesiones, los derechos de los participantes, así como desarrollar una sensibilidad para reconocer los distintos matices culturales, las expresiones de diversidad grupal y la vulnerabilidad de la condición humana. De este modo, queda clara la importancia de que los investigadores accedan a la revisión ética y rigurosa de su trabajo durante todo el proceso de investigación. Por ello, la necesidad del acompañamiento de un comité de ética, cuya función dialógica promueva la reflexión. Los dilemas éticos son inherentes a la investigación psicosocial, por lo que uno de los principales retos entonces sería velar por el respeto a la autonomía, considerando a que el consentimiento informado debe ser voluntario, individual y/o colectivo, ya sea establecido en forma verbal o escrita, pero sobre todo, habría que considerarlo como un proceso que termina sólo después de la investigación. Asimismo, se debe salvaguardar la confidencialidad, la privacidad y el bien de los investigados, evitar el daño, la discriminación y la estigmatización. En suma, se deben maximizar los beneficios, es decir, proteger los derechos y el bienestar de los investigados. La exigencia ética en la investigación psicosocial es problematizar y reflexionar de manera crítica nuestro quehacer como investigadores, siempre con responsabilidad y compromiso hacia los sujetos |
| English abstract | first must be questioned both the design of the work, the method and techniques to be used in achieving objectives and the impact of the study for the scientific and social community. The latter is crucial, since it determines whether or not social intervention policies that are important in people’s lives can be implemented. The dissemination of information has often been an issue of great interest and ethical debate, since it involves confidentiality as well as the need for publication and the dissemination of results. In this respect, intellectual honesty and the guarantee that the results of the study will be properly used by researcher are crucial. It is therefore essential to take ethical reflection to other fields of action, where the different ethical implications are difficult to deal with, such as community studies, at-risk or minority populations, as well as the various research methods, such as the qualitative approach. At the same time, ethical problems encountered by social researchers tend to be avoided, perhaps because they are not interpreted as such or because, in the majority of cases, they can be regarded as mistakes or deficiencies by the researcher himself, who is not prepared to reveal them to the scientific community or perhaps because the recognition of a dilemma may influence the acceptance of a research project. Thus social scientists usually only recognize those displayed in biomedical experimentation as ethical dilemmas and therefore do not subject themselves to the ethical codes of these disciplines. It may also be because psychosocial research should not really have to apply ethical standards applied in other disciplines, whose object of study is different from that of social sciences |
