| Spanish abstract | El flujo inmigratorio en las ciudades intermedias del sur de Chile ha aumentado significativamente y se ha diversificado; sin embargo, estos territorios han sido pocos estudiados. El presente artículo pretende entonces reconocer las características de este proceso en el caso de Talca, y analizar de manera exploratoria la percepción de los extranjeros sobre esta ciudad intermedia agraria. Los resultados dan cuenta de la especificidad de un fenómeno que tiene características propias, ligadas a la identidad rural de la capital regional del Maule |
| English abstract | The migratory flux has increased and diversified significantly in the intermediary cities of Southern Chile; however, these territories have been poorly studied. This article aims to identify the characteristics of the process in the case of Talca and, then, to analyse in an explorative way the perception of foreign people about this intermediary agrarian city. The results mirror the specificity of a phenomenon with its own characteristics that are linked to the rural identity of the capital city of Maule Region |
