| Spanish abstract | Los concepto s de “ terroir ” y “ climats ” son utilizados habitualmente y con mucha libertad en el mundo de la vitivinicultura. Lo anterior explica el hecho por el cual estos conceptos han sido recogidos en numerosas legislaciones vitivinícolas, siendo en algunas de ellas piedra angular de su construcción. Tambié n son de amplia utilización en el mercadeo de los vinos. Se han redactado numerosas definiciones de “ terroir ” y, últimamente , también de “climats” , las cuales en general son complementarias unas de otras. No obstante lo anterior, se trata de conceptos sobr e los cuales existen numerosas controversias, particularmente en el mundo científico, al punto de plantearse la cuestión de su real existencia. En la presentación se discuten algunos argumentos de esta controversia e hipótesis recientemente propuestas que permitirían avalar su existencia |
| English abstract | The concept of "terroir" and "climats" are commonly used and very freely in the world of winemaking. This explains the fact by which these concepts have been included in numerous wine laws, some of them being a cornerstone of their construction. They are also widely used in the marketing of wines. They have written numerous definitions of "terroir" and lately also "climats", which in general are complementary to each other. Nevertheless, these concepts on which there are many controversies, particularly in the scientific world, to the point of considering the question of their actual existence. The presentation will discuss some of the controv ersy and arguments recently proposed hypothesis that would allow support its existence |
