| Spanish abstract | En Santiago del Nuevo Extremo, vivía en La Cañada una mujer que había nacido en esta ciudad, fruto de las relaciones de un rico comerciante italiano y de una joven india peruana, compartiendo este tipo de origen con gran parte de la población chilena. Lo que aún no se ha descubierto que compartiera con otros, es que entre los implementos con que contaba en su viña, había un alambique de sacar aguardiente, singularidad que motiva a buscar antecedentes respecto a su persona, por el momento pionera en la actividad, cuyo fruto será más tarde un importante producto de exportación. Así, primeramente datos de interés relativos a sus padres, sobre quiénes fueron y a qué se dedicaban, las familias que formaron y sus hijos, posible red de apoyo o relaciones con que pudo haber contado. Luego, antece dentes de sus maridos, uno italiano y otro español peninsular. Para terminar, observar si su descendencia continuó ligada de alguna manera a la producción vitivinícola |
| English abstract | In the city of Santiago del Nuevo Extremo, lived in the Cañada a woman of local descent, fruit of the union between a rich Italian merchant and a young Peruvian Indian girl, a type of mixed origin shared my many of Chile’s colonial population. What hadn ́t been found or shared about her was that within the tools that she had in her vineyard was a still, used for making brandy, something so unique that it motivated us to look for more information about her and the origin of this industry, which later be came an important export product. First we gathered information about her parents, who they were and what they did, the families they or their children formed and what networks or support groups they could have counted on. Then we looked into her husband s for the same information, one Italian and another from Spain. In the end we looked to see if her descendants were still linked in some way to the wine industry today |
