| Spanish abstract | En el año 2010 la Universidad de Indonesia creó la clasificación mundial de universidades verdes, para medir el grado de compromiso de las instituciones de educación superior con la sostenibilidad. Los proyectos que la Institución Universitaria Pascual Bravo realizaba, en torno a la gestión ambiental, motivaron a participar en esta clasificación, en el año 2017, y a realizar un estudio de caso con el objetivo de medir cómo los esfuerzos de la institución eran percibidos por la comunidad universitaria. Este estudio utilizó un enfoque mixto: cualitativamente se realizó una revisión de literatura, y cuantitativamente una encuesta, para entender la percepción de la población en el proceso de transformación hacia la sostenibilidad. Los resultados evidenciaron la percepción que tenía la comunidad del proceso de transformación de la institución y el grado de interés en participar de estos procesos. El estudio permitió concluir que los esfuerzos que se realizan para promover la sostenibilidad y el cuidado del medio ambiente impactan a la comunidad y podrían aportar en la construcción de ciudades sostenibles |
| English abstract | In the year 2010 the University of Indonesia created the World classification of Green universities, to measure the degree of commitment of institutions of higher education with sustainability. The projects that the university institution Pascual Bravo carried out, around the environmental management, motivated to participate in this classification, in the year 2017, and to carry out a case study with the objective of measuring how the university's efforts were perceived by the university community. This study used a mixed approach: qualitatively a literature review was conducted, and quantitatively a survey, to understand the perception of the population in the process of transformation towards. The results showed the community's perception of the transformation process of the institution and the degree of interest in participating in these processes. The study allowed to conclude that the efforts made to promote sustainability and care for the environment impact the community and could contribute to the construction of sustainable cities |
