| English abstract | For years child labor has been consolidated as a problem that impacts the political-educational framework in Colombia. Its incidence in the formative process of boys and girls has generated great consequences such as the increase in school dropout rates. Taking this problem into account, descriptive qualitative research was carried out, through a case study in a district institution during the period 2019 -2022, where the main strategies that have been taken into account to mitigate the impact of this situation with based on the educational policies in force as of 2022. The objective of the research was to analyze the main goals of public policies and the context conditions and characteristics of child labor in each scenario of its production, in such a way that its incidence on education could be understood. school dropout and in the psychosocial development of this specific group of the population. The main results of the research indicate the incidence of child labor and its relationship with the school dropout of working minors, through the recognition of its sociocultural, historical, and political context, considering the case study. The main conclusion to which the investigation gives rise allows to demonstrate the need to continue in the process of construction of strategies in conjunction with the State, to generate a greater impact and scope against child labor, covering different perspectives in order to manage to control or mitigate it |
