| Spanish abstract | Con el objeto de estudiar el crecimiento y desarrollo de la plántula de ají dulce (Capsicum frutescens L.), en un lapso de treinta y cinco días a partir de la siembra, fueron seleccionadas semillas sanas y sembradas en una mezcla de arena, suelo y materia orgánica. Las evaluaciones morfológicas y de crecimiento fueron realizadas a lo largo de veintinueve muestreos sucesivos a partir de la germinación. La emergencia del hipocótilo se presentó al sexto día después de la germinación. La verticalidad del hipocótilo y la horizontalidad del primer par de hojas ocurrió el octavo día. A los once días después de la siembra y cinco días de haber ocurrido la germinación fueron observadas raíces laterales o de primer orden |
| English abstract | In order to studying the growth and development of sweet pepper seedlings, in a lapse of thirty five days, starting from the sowing; healthy seeds were selected and sowed in a mixture of sand, soil and organic matter. The morphological evaluations and those of growth were carried out along twenty-nine successive samplings, starting from the germination. The emergence of the hypocotyl was presented sixth days after the germination. The verticality of the hypocotyl and the horizontality of the first pair of leaves happened the eighth day. Eleven days after the sowing and five days of germination, laterals roots or those of first order were observed |
