| Spanish abstract | El propósito de este artículo es explorar los significados de las coletillas modales del español en la metafunción interpersonal y el estrato léxico-gramatical desde el enfoque sistémico funcional del lenguaje. En particular, se ofrece una descripción del funcionamiento de estos recursos a partir de un análisis trinocular en muestras de habla del corpus PRESEEA del español de Santiago de Chile. Los principales hallazgos evidencian la presencia de opciones delicadas o específicas de las coletillas en el sistema de MODO. Los resultados revelan dos condiciones de entrada. Por una parte, un tipo de coletilla modal que implica negociación y presenta significados interpersonales de acuerdo, entendimiento, exhortación y mitigación. Por otra parte, los datos muestran la presencia de una coletilla que no conlleva negociación, sino que aporta significados asociados a la metafunción textual y que permiten la organización del mensaje como acto comunicativo. Con los resultados obtenidos se propone un sistema de COLETILLAS MODALES para el sistema de MODO en el español de Chile |
| English abstract | The purpose of this article is to explore the meanings of mood tags in Spanish in the interpersonal metafunction and in the lexicogrammatical strata from a systemic functional perspective of language. To that end, a trinocular approach is employed to describe these linguistic resources by using samples of speech from the PRESEEA corpus of the Spanish spoken in Santiago, Chile. The main findings demonstrate the presence of delicate or specific options for mood tags in the MOOD system. The data shows two entry conditions for mood tags. On the one hand, a type of mood tag that involves negotiation and presents interpersonal meanings of agreement, understanding, exhortation, and mitigation. On the other hand, the data shows the presence of a tag which does not implies negotiation, but rather provides meaning associated with the textual metafunction and allows the organization of messages as a communicative act. With the results obtained, we propose a system of MOOD TAGS for the MOOD system in Chilean Spanish |
