| English abstract | This paper presents the results of a historical analytical research to contribute to the discussion on the construction of religious education as an object of knowledge from different fields such as education, theology, science, religion, philosophy, law, sociology, anthropology, psychology and others. These surveys act directly or tangentially on this issue. Before discussing the production on this curricular component identified is important to understand the knowledge. For this we consider that the human being from the beginning of its existence are faced with a world that is totally unknown, which needs to be discovered. This relationship between subject and object begins to understand and represent themselves and the world around him going to give shape and meaning to them, and thus meet them. This is a historical dialogue between the building trends of religious education and the process of establishing this curriculum component as an area of knowledge. This process has become crucial for the last decade of the twentieth century and the first of the twenty-first century articulates a proposal of religious education with educated perspective to religious pluralism and citizenship no longer the diffusion of adherence to religious groups |
| Portuguese abstract | Este texto apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa histórico-analítica, visando a contribuir para a discussão sobre a construção do ensino religioso como objeto de diferentes campos do conhecimento, como educação, teologia, ciência da religião, filosofia, direito, sociologia, antropologia, psicologia e outros, os quais atuam tangencial ou diretamente sobre o tema. Antes de discutir a produção identificada sobre esse componente curricular é importante compreender o conhecimento. Para tal, considera-se que o ser humano, desde o início de sua existência, se depara com um mundo que lhe é totalmente desconhecido, o qual precisa ser descoberto. Nessa relação entre sujeito e objeto, começa a compreender e a representar a si e ao mundo que o cerca, passando a dar forma e significado a estes e, assim, conhecê-los. Esse resgate histórico é o diálogo entre a construção das tendências do ensino religioso e o processo de estabelecimento desse componente curricular como espaço de conhecimento. Tal processo tornou-se fundamental para que, na última década do século XX e na primeira do século XXI, se articulasse uma proposta escolarizada do ensino religioso com perspectiva ao pluralismo religioso e à cidadania e não mais à difusão de adesão a grupos religiosos |
