| English abstract | In the text presented here, we look beyond the discussion about Pataxó territory and territoriality, to develop a brief contextualization about the Jê dos Sertões peoples and how these groups were categorized throughout history, an effort that helps to understand the dynamics of the conquest of the the region studied here and how the indigenous groups, including the Pataxó, were throughout the history of colonization being represented, categorized and submitted to the situation of territorialization, to the point of being organized and constituted as an ethnicity as we study today, as well as the changes in its territory, the impacts of the expansion of borders, Conservation Units and the development of cities throughout the 20th century and especially in the latter half of the latter |
