| Spanish abstract | El presente artículo tiene por objeto; analizar la importancia que ha tenido la política fiscal para el crecimiento económico en México, para lo cual se estudia el papel de los impulsos fiscales para incentivar el crecimiento económico de largo plazo; así como los efectos contra-cíclicos y pro-cíclicos de la política fiscal; analizando sus impactos en las variables macroeconómicas fundamentales para el período 1960-2016. Los resultados del modelo estimado sugieren que cuando la política fiscal operó activamente, resultó favorable para el crecimiento económico; por tanto, el rol que potencialmente puede desempeñar la política fiscal en la amortiguación del ciclo resulta una poderosa herramienta dada la alta sensibilidad de la economía a diversos choques. Debe retomarse el papel activo de la política fiscal para aminorar los períodos de recesión mediante el uso del gasto público e incentivar conjuntamente el crecimiento económico, ya que la actual política de corte pro-cíclico cuya única meta es el equilibro en las finanzas públicas, sólo ha generado condiciones de desequilibrio económico, alto desempleo, y una inequitativa distribución del ingreso |
| English abstract | The present article has for object; to analyze the importance that has had the fiscal policy for the economic growth in Mexico, for which studies the role of the fiscal impulses to stimulate the economic growth of long term; as well as the counter -cyclical and pro-cyclical effects of the fiscal policy; Analyzing the impacts in the macroeconomic fundamental variables for the period 1960- 2016. The results of the estimated model suggest that when the fiscal policy operated actively, it turned out to be favorable for the economic growth; therefore, the role that potentially can recover the fiscal policy in the dulling of the cycle turns out to be a powerful given tool the high sensibility of the economy to diverse shocks. There must be taken again the active role of the fiscal policy to lessen the periods of recession by means of the use of the public expenditure and to stimulate together the economic growth, since the current politics policy of pro-cyclical cut which unique goal is balanced by me in the public finance, only it has generated conditions of economic imbalance, high unemployment, and an inequitable distribution of the income |
