| Spanish abstract | La presente investigación tiene como objetivo caracterizar a las microempresas, a través de una investigación exploratoria de carácter descriptivo. La encuesta se realizó a una muestra de 359 microempresas distribuidas en las nueve parroquias urbanas de Quevedo, con la base de datos del registro de empresas del Servicio de Rentas Internas (SRI). Las microempresas constituyen el mayor porcentaje de unidades productivas dentro del tejido empresarial, son importantes por cuanto generan empleo y dinamizan la economía de Quevedo |
| English abstract | The objective of this research is to characterize microenterprises and identify the main problems that affect their performance, through exploratory research of a descriptive nature. The survey was conducted with 359 micro-enterprises distributed in the nine urban parishes of Quevedo, with the database of the Internal Revenue Service (SRI) company registry. The microenterprises constitute the largest percentage of productive units within the business fabric, they are important in that they generate employment and boost the economy of Quevedo |
