| Spanish abstract | La tesis central del autor de este ensayo es que los orígenes de la modernidad se remontan a una época más temprana que la establecida hasta ahora por los estudios académicos, y que fue el sistema feudal con su estructura de poder parcializada el que permitió el surgimiento de los procesos de individualización y de subjetividad constitutivas de la Europa moderna. | English abstract | The main point in this essay is that the origins of "modernity" date from an earlier age than the one asigned by the academic scholars, and that it was the feudal system with its segmented structure of power which allowed the rise of the processes of individualization and subjectivity, the fundamentals of modern Europe. The paper tries to make archaeological works on "modernity" and reconstructs the interrelationships shown in the changes of the different phases in the feudal system with the transformations of Medieval thought |
