| Spanish abstract | En este artículo se presenta una visión panorámica sobre el estado de las relaciones de México con Europa tanto en el plano bilateral —con los principales socios en el continente— como en lo que se refiere a la negociación para actualizar el marco jurídico entre México y la Unión Europea (UE). Para este fin, se analizan, primero, algunas de las transformaciones recientes en el sistema internacional, en México y en Europa, para luego evaluar los avances registrados en las negociaciones con la UE, así como los logros bilaterales más destacados con algunos países europeos |
| English abstract | This article presents a broad overview of Mexico’s relations with European countries, both bilaterally —with our main partners in the continent— and regarding the negotiations to update the legal framework between Mexico and the European Union (EU). First, it analyzes some of the recent transformations in the international system, in Mexico and in Europe, and then it evaluates the progress registered in the negotiations with the EU, as well as the most outstanding bilateral achievements with selected European countries |
