| Spanish abstract | La atrofodermia de Pasini y Pierini (APP) es un raro proceso descrito por primera vez por Pasini (1923) y más tarde por Pierini y Vivoli en 1936. Clínicamente se caracteriza por placas deprimidas que oscilan desde unos cuantos milímetros hasta varios centímetros. Normalmente se trata de un proceso bilateral y simétrico. Hasta donde tenemos conocimiento, éste es el cuarto caso unilateral descrito hasta el momento. Descripción del caso: Paciente de 18 años sin antecedentes patológicos de interés que consulta por manchas hiperpigmentadas asintomáticas de aparición progresiva en tronco y extremidad inferior, las lesiones eran asintomáticas y habían ido apareciendo progresivamente. Conclusiones: Se presenta un caso de APP con distribución unilateral, en nuestra revisión de la bibliografía sólo hemos encontrado tres casos previos |
| English abstract | Pasini and Pierini’s atrophoderma (PPA) is a rare process described for the fi rst time by Pasini (1923) and Pierini and Vivoli in 1936. Clinically it is characterized by depressed plaques that range from a few millimeters to several centimeters. It is usually a bilateral and symmetric process. To our knowledge this is the fourth unilateral case described. Case description: An 18-year-old patient who consulted for asymptomatic hyperpigmented spots with progressive onset in the trunk and lower limb, the lesions were asymptomatic and progressively appeared. Conclusions: We present a case of PPA atrophy with a unilateral distribution, in our review of the literature we have only found three previous cases |
