| Spanish abstract | En el trabajo se presenta un recuento de las situaciones y coyunturas políticas que durante el año trascendental de 1968 se manifestaron en el mundo y de manera particular en la región de América Latina y el Caribe. Se exponen las expresiones políticas que estuvieron interconectadas en torno a las protestas estudiantiles y juveniles que se dieron en aquellos momentos. De la misma manera, a cincuenta años de los sucesos, se destaca la relativa importancia y trascendencia del 68 que ha llegado hasta nuestros días |
| English abstract | This article presents an account of the political conditions and situations that took place throughout the world in 1968, particularly in the Latin American and Caribbean region. The author describes the political expressions interconnected with student and youth demonstrations that werw developing at that time. Also, fifty years after the 1968 events, their relative importance having transcended until today is highlighted |
