| English abstract | In this interview given to Revista Maracanan the Professor discusses the "crisis theories" of Marxist and neoliberal bias and addresses the relationship between the notion of contemporary barbarism, the unresolved world crisis after World War II - only mitigated in the form of a "truce" , in the thirty "glorious years" (c. 1945-1975) - and the history of capitalism. Considering the origins and unfolding of the issues involved in the "collapse of capitalism" by its self-contradictions. These generators of human masses excluded from minimally worthy survival possibilities. And without giving up his blunt verve. Menegat analyzes the situation in Brazil today from both the economic and cultural political prism and draws attention to the fact that "Humanity no longer counts in the calculations of the economy. There is a choice that has never been placed before: capitalism (which is the daily barbarism in which we live, in permanent progression) or the existence of humanity (which can only be effected in another form of socialization)." |
| Portuguese abstract | Nesta entrevista concedida à Revista Maracanan, o professor discute as “teorias da crise” de viés marxista e (neo)liberal e aborda a relação entre a noção da barbárie contemporânea, a crise mundial não resolvida após a II Guerra – apenas amenizada na forma de uma “trégua”, nos trinta “anos gloriosos” (c. 1945-1975) – e a história do capitalismo. Considerando as origens e desdobramentos das questões envolvidas no “colapso do capitalismo” por suas autocontradições, geradoras de massas humanas excluídas das possibilidades de sobrevivência minimamente dignas, e sem abrir mão de sua verve contundente, Menegat analisa a situação do Brasil hoje, tanto do prisma econômico quanto político e cultural, e chama a atenção para o fato de que “A humanidade não cabe mais nos cálculos da economia. Impõe-se uma escolha como nunca antes havia se colocado: ou o capitalismo (que é a barbárie cotidiana em que vivemos, em permanente progressão) ou a existência da humanidade (que somente poderá se efetivar em outra forma de socialização).” |
