| Spanish abstract | Este artículo analiza la presencia de estudiantes inmigrantes que llegan a las escuelas de educación básica en México. Estos niños y niñas son, en su mayoría, hijos e hijas de migrantes mexicanos que retornan a nuestro país. A partir de reconocer su presencia, se revisa la construcción histórica que, desde el derecho a la educación, justifica que estas y estos infantes se incorporen a la escuela, tomando en cuenta que esta debe adaptar la enseñanza a los diversos requerimientos de quienes asisten a ella y garantizar, de esta forma, el derecho que tienen a aprender y a potenciar los conocimientos que les permitan transitar entre culturas, situación propia de la realidad transnacional en que están situados. El trabajo se inscribe en el debate que, desde el derecho a la educación, está planteando otro tipo de escuela acorde con las condiciones actuales y las expectativas de las y los diversos actores educativos |
| English abstract | This article analyses the reality of immigrants when arriving to mexican elementary schools. These boys and girls are mostly sons and daughters of mexican migrants that return to our country. From acknowledging their presence, the author reviews the historical construction that, since the discourse of the right to education, justifies that these children incorporate to school, taking into account that teaching must be adapted to the diverse requirements of students and ensure, in this way, the right they have to learn and to enhance the skills that allow them to move between cultures. In other words, schools in Mexico must consider these students are transnational and live a special situation in Mexico. The author signs in the debate that, parting form the Right for Education, is proposing another type of school according to the current conditions and expectations of the various educational actors |
