| English abstract | An experimental analytical study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of treatment with bleeding as antihypertensive therapy in a doctor's office "4 de Abril" from January to December 2013. 67 diagnosed hypertensive patients was our universe, which were distributed in two groups, one study and control groups with 34 and 33 members respectively. Data through clinical records were obtained individual patient interview and physical examination, emptying a data collection form. Variables used: age groups, gender, response time to bleeding, decreased blood pressure, therapeutic response. It predominance of males with the age group 30-39 years, there was better response time to 10 minutes indent applied and experienced blood pressure decrease was more remarkable when applied to the conventional treatment with captopril supply. |
| Spanish abstract | Se realizó un estudio analítico experimental para determinar la efectividad del tratamiento con sangría como terapéutica antihipertensiva en un consultorio médico del Policlínico Universitario "4 de Abril" durante el periodo enero-diciembre de 2013. De 67 pacientes hipertensos diagnosticados fue nuestro universo, los cuales fueron distribuidos en dos grupos: uno de estudio y otro de control con 34 y 33 integrantes, respectivamente. Se obtuvieron los datos a través de las historias clínicas, la entrevista individual con el paciente y examen físico, vaciándose los datos en una planilla de recolección. Variables utilizadas: grupos etáreos, sexo, tiempo de respuesta a sangría, descenso de tensión arterial, respuesta terapéutica. Predominó el sexo masculino con el grupo etario de 30–39 años, hubo mejor tiempo de respuesta a sangría a los 10 minutos de aplicada y el descenso experimentado por la tensión arterial fue más notable al aplicarla que al suministrar tratamiento convencional con captopril. |
