| English abstract | The cysts that develop in the jaw and jaw have as their main distinguishing feature their identification at the level of etiopathogenesis, since structurally, these lesions have more common elements than differentials. Among these entities are bone traumatic cysts, which are called by the literature with a variety of synonyms and etiopathogenesis still discussed. We describe the case of a 15-year-old male adolescent who develops a mandibular cyst of considerable magnitude, associated with traumas received in the mandible during infancy. Diagnostic systematics (interrogation, clinical examination, imaging and anatomical studies), surgical intervention; Periodic check-ups with satisfactory evolution after three years of being treated. |
| Spanish abstract | Los quistes que se desarrollan en los maxilares y la mandíbula tienen como rasgo distintivo fundamental su identificación a nivel de la etiopatogenia, ya que estructuralmente, estas lesiones tienen entre sí más elementos comunes que diferenciales. Entre estas entidades se encuentran los quistes traumáticos óseos, los cuales son denominados por las literaturas con una variedad de sinónimos y de etiopatogenia aún discutida. Se describe el caso de un adolescente masculino de 15 años de edad que desarrolla un quiste mandibular de considerable magnitud, asociado a traumas recibidos en la mandíbula durante la infancia. Se realiza sistemática diagnóstica (interrogatorio, examen clínico, estudios imagenológicos y anatomoclínicos), intervención quirúrgica; chequeos periódicos con evolución satisfactoria al cabo de los tres años de ser intervenido. |
