| English abstract | A retrospective descriptive analysis was performed with the objective of determining the behavior of STIs in the health area of San Antonio del Sur from January 2011 to January 2012. The universe is made up of 169 patients with STIs. The variables were analyzed: age, sex, school level, occupation, socioeconomic conditions and more frequent infections. The predominant age was 26-36 and 15-25 years, both female. The prevailed ending college level. There was a higher incidence in pre-university and university groups and a good economic situation. Among the most frequent infections were vaginitis due to candidiasis and chlamydia, followed by trichimoniasis. |
| Spanish abstract | Se realiza un análisis descriptivo retrospectivo con el objetivo de determinar el comportamiento de ITS en el área de salud de San Antonio del Sur desde enero de 2011 hasta enero 2012. El universo está constituido por 169 pacientes notificados con ITS. Las variables analizadas fueron: edad, sexo, nivel escolar, ocupación, condiciones socioeconómicas e infecciones más frecuentes. La edad predominante fue de 26-36 y 15-25 años, ambos del sexo femenino. Predominó el nivel escolar de universidad terminada. Hubo mayor incidencia en los grupos preuniversitarios y universidades terminadas y situación económica buena, Dentro de las infecciones más frecuentes se halló vaginitis a causa de candidiasis y clamidia, seguidas de trichimoniasis. |
