| English abstract | The main objective of this study was to better understand the spatial structure of the rain in Araguari city, located at ‘Minas Gerais’ State to give support to an analysis of the spatial structure of rain. The pluviometric records were obtained from a pluviometers system (model ‘Ville de Paris’), installed in many locations at Araguari city from 2001 to 2005. The pluviometers system was statistically installed based on the methodology for a rhythmics analysis. The rainy season were selected and the representative episodes of successive and intense rain on those seasons were observed. In respect to the spatial structure, it was seem that the all Northwest-North-Northeast region was superior regarding to the highest pluviometric records at the all city related to the dynamics front as explained above. However, it was not observed a clear and easily detected pattern of rain distribution on the rainy season studied due to the many and different trajectories |
| Portuguese abstract | Este estudo aborda a estrutura espacial das chuvas no espaço urbano de Araguari-MG, com o objetivo de fornecer subsídios para a análise desta. Os registros pluviométricos foram obtidos através de uma rede de pluviômetros, modelo Ville de Paris, instalados em diversos bairros da cidade, numa série temporal do período 2001-2005, os quais foram tratados estatisticamente com base nos procedimentos metodológicos da análise rítmica. Para tal selecionaram-se os períodos da estação chuvosa e neles os episódios representativos de chuvas contínuas e intensas. Sobre a estrutura espacial percebeu-se que todo o conjunto Noroeste-Norte-Nordeste se sobressai em termos de maiores alturas pluviométricas de toda a cidade, relacionadas à dinâmica frontal, porém não se observou um padrão claro e facilmente reconhecível de distribuição de chuvas na estação chuvosa, pois que se constataram numerosas e diferentes trajetórias |
