| English abstract | This paper considers Lenin's revolutionary theory, starting primarily from his book The State and the Revolution , which is characte rized by the tension between realism and utopia. In this book, the Bolshevik leader ascertains the timeliness of the revolution, and the "opportunity" afforded by it, despite its inherent uncertainty and risks. Stabilized by the party, the insurrection sha ll steer clear of all improvisation and spontaneity. The crucial question, however, lies on what to do after victory. Contrary to the tenets of the theory, the state has not been extinguished. The process of self - extinction that had been foretold turned ou t to be no different than an ideology, like so many others, which feeds on its own continuity |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo trata da teoria revolucionária de Lenine, sobretudo a partir da obra O Estado e a Revolução , marcada pela tensão entre realismo e utopia. Nela, o líder bolchevique aponta a atualidade e a “oportunidade” da revolução, a despeito da incerteza e do risco que lhes são inerentes. Feita estável e constante pelo partido, a insurreiç ão deverá contornar todo improviso e espontaneísmo. A dúvida maior reside, contudo, no que fazer depois da vitória. À diferença do que a teoria afirma, o estado não se extinguiu. O anunciado processo de auto - extinção revelou - se tão - só uma ideologia, como t antas outras, a alimentar a sua continuidade |
