| Spanish abstract | En los estudios sobre la infancia hay posturas que plantean su desaparición, a partir de las transformaciones que los niños han tenido desde finales del siglo XX . El pre- sente texto expone dos perspectivas para entender este fenómeno: la sociológica de Neil Postman, en Disappearance of childhood, quien considera que la televisión borra las fronteras entre los niños y los adultos, y la psicoanalítica, a partir de la noción de tabú de Sigmund Freud, que permite afirmar que no hay tal desaparición, sino un imperativo cultural que plantea, como ideal, la búsqueda de la satisfacción inmediata |
| English abstract | Among the different studies on childhood, there are some views that suggest the disappearance of infancy due to the transformations that children have undergone since the end of the XX th century. This text presents two perspectives for the unders- tanding of this phenomenon: The sociological perspective expressed in Disappea- rance of childhood by Neil Postman, who considers that television removes the frontiers between children and adults, and the psychoanalytical one, based on Sig- mund Freud’s notion of taboo , which leads to conclude that such a disappearance does not exist, but rather a cultural imperative that proposes, as an ideal, the search for immediate satisfaction |
| Other abstract | Dans les études sur l’enfance il y a des attitudes qui esquissent sa disparition, à par- tir des transformations que les enfants ont eues de puis la fin du XX e siècle. Le texte expose deux perspectives pour comprendre ce phénomè ne: la perspective sociologi- que de Neil Postman, en “Disparition de l’enfance” , qui considère que la télévision efface les frontières parmi les enfants et les adul tes, et la perspective psychanalytique à partir de la notion de tabou de Sigmund Freud qui autorise à affirmer qu’il n’y a pas telle disparition mais un impératif culturel qu i esquisse comme idéal la recherche de la satisfaction immédiate |
