| Spanish abstract | El cuerpo es el instrumento por excelencia sobre el que se prestan los cuidados, y vehículo o mediador de los mismos, y ha sido y es, un enigma denostado y un territorio por descubrir; denostado por lo mucho que nos oculta o por lo demasiado que nos muestra y más aún por lo que debe todavía revelar. Tomándolo como hilo conductor del pensar implica que quite la palabra para articular un discurso mudo, que se hace visible a través de sus representaciones artísticas. Definiendo incluso las distintas partes del cuerpo, así como las distintas relaciones que llevan a la salud, la enfermedad y la muerte, mediante representaciones de diversidad de culturas y tiempos históricos, donde el cuerpo ha sido una superficie que sirve de inspiración o soporte, para imprimir los acontecimientos de nuestra vida. Hablar del cuerpo como instrumento privilegiado de cuidados no es sólo mencionar los sentidos que de él participan, sino redescubrir la sensibilidad. Redescubrir lo que siente, buscar lo que sienten los demás e intentar ser más claro con lo que uno mismo siente. Hacer un camino personal que va más allá de usar las manos para manipular, transportar, levantar, coger, pinchar, presionar, acariciar, dar masajes, etc |
| English abstract | Our body is the pre-eminent instrument care is given onto, and the vehicle of care itself; undiscovered land: reviled for how much it hides an how little it shows, and even more for what it still has to reveal. Taken as the thread of thought, word is left out in order to articulate a mute discourse, made visible through its artistic representations. Defining the different parts of the body an the various liaisons that lead to health, illness and death, by means of representations framed in a variety of cultures and times, the body has become a surface which acts as inspiration or base for our life events to be printed on. Considering the body as a privileged instrument of care does not only imply mentioning the participanting senses but rediscovering sensitivity. Rediscovering what it feel, searching what others feel and clarifying what one feel. Walking a personal path that goes beyond using hands to handle, transport, lift, take, inject, press, caress, massage, etc |
