English abstract | Within the context of the crisis of western rationality, and specifi cally its impact on education, we try to emphasize the importance of critical, reflective and ethical formation of teachers in the current proposals on a humanizing education. Its connection with the educational technocratic instrumental model has led education to a process of dehumanization, where the teacher’s role is reduced to being a technical expert and specialist in the application of rules to guide students’ behavior. This is resizing the design of this professional actor, pointing out the importance of innovation and refl ective and ethical practice in their training |
