| Resumen en español | El autor revisa las principales aportaciones críticas al problema de la clasificación del cuento folclórico, haciendo hincapié en aquellas que proponen nuevos caminos en la investigación de este arduo asunto. Así, se comentan los acercamientos estructuralistas a todo tipo de cuentos (y no sólo a los maravillosos, como es habitual) y se plantea la necesidad (y la posibilidad) de aunar en una clasificación rigurosa del cuento (todavía por hacer) el método estructuralista con el análisis temático y tipológico derivado de la escuela finlandesa |
| Resumen en inglés | The author examines the main critical contributions to solve the problem of classification of the folktale, making a special emphasis on those that propose new ways of facing this arduous matter. Thus, it is analyzed the approach of structuralism to all kinds of folktales (and not only to the marvelous, as it is often the case), outlining the necessity (and the possibility) to combine in a rigorous classification of the folktale (still to be done) the method proposed by structuralism with the thematic and typological analysis derived from the Finnish school |
