| Spanish abstract | A Gabriel García Márquez se le ha identificado preponderantemente con una corriente literaria llamada «realismo mágico» suponiendo, de esta manera, que el Premio Nobel de Literatura hace de su escritura un hecho meramente estético. Sin embargo, si revisamos la obra del autor colombiano, nos encontramos con una escritura comprometida en la búsqueda identitaria de América Latina que linda entre la utopía y la realidad asumida a manera de compromiso implícito dentro del discurso narrativo y el ensayo periodístico. Por ello, en este artículo queremos destacar cómo, desde la ficción o el discurso ensayístico, se asume una posición dialéctica sobre la realidad del hombre y su circunstancialidad histórica, que el mismo autor encuadra dentro de los postulados socialistas a manera y razón de vía para lograr la participación colectiva y el balance de la humanidad en una posición más justa y equitativa |
| English abstract | Gabriel García Márquez has been identified preponderantly with a literary current called “magical realism,” thereby supposing that the Nobel Prize for Literature makes his writing a merely aesthetic fact. However, if we review the Colombian author’s work, we find writing committed to a search for identity in Latin America that borders between utopia and reality, taken as a commitment implicit in narrative discourse and journalistic essays. This article wishes to highlight how, whether in fiction or essayistic discourse, a dialectical position is assumed about the reality of man and his historical circumstances that the author himself frames within socialist postulates as a rationale and a way to achieve collective participation and the balance of humanity in a more fair and equitable position |
