| Spanish abstract | Actualmente se considera que la ultrasonografía es un instrumento útil en el diagnóstico por visualización; con un concepto de reconocimiento e intervención temprana en el paciente grave que puede proveer información en tiempo real de la anatomía y hemodinamia a la cabecera del paciente, lo cual es un componente crucial del manejo moderno del enfermo en estado crítico. Durante el preámbulo de establecer lineamientos que nos guíen hacia conceptos y protocolos específicos, han existido características comunes que reflejan lo útil y factible de llevar a cabo la realización del ultrasonido a la cabecera del paciente en las Unidades de Terapia Intensiva, como son definir una situación de emergencia, respuesta a objetivos directos que contesten preguntas que puedan modificar el curso de una condición clínica, claridad para su interpretación y, finalmente, que sea de una forma rápida y secuencial, permitiendo interrumpir el proceso patológico cuando se identifique la situación que responda a los objetivos iniciales. Por tal motivo, se realiza un resumen de las técnicas de ultrasonido que pueden ser realizadas por el intensivista con un adiestramiento académico adecuado y aval universitario |
| English abstract | Currently the ultrasonography is consider like an useful instrument in the visual diagnosis, with a concept of recognition and an early intervention in the ill patient that provide information in real time of the anatomy and hemodynamic to the bedside of the patient, which is a crucial component of the modern management in the critically ill patient. During the preamble to establish guidelines that lead us to specific concepts and protocols, there have been commons characteristics that show the feasible and useful ways to carry out the performance of the ultrasonography to the patient in the intensive care unit, like, to defi ne an emergency case, a response to direct objectives that consist in questions that could modify the course of a clinical condition, clarity to the interpretation and fi nally to be quickly and sequential, making possible the interruption of the disease process when the situation has identifi ed that respond to the initial objectives. For that reason, it has realized a summary about the techniques of ultrasound that can be realized by the intensivist with an appropriate academic training and university endorsement |
