Spanish abstract Se registra por primera vez para aguas cubanas Stibarobdella macrothela (Schmarda, 1861) (Hirudinea, Piscicolidae), colectada en la piel de la porción media del cuerpo, por debajo de la aleta dorsal de Ginglymostoma cirratum (Bonnaterre, 1788) (Chondrichthyes: Ginglymodtomatidae) en una pecera del Acuario Nacional de Cuba. La especie se ha encontrado parasitando una amplia gama de elasmobranquios en las regiónes tropicales de los océanos mundiales
English abstract For the first time Stibarobdella macrothela (Schmarda, 1861) (Hirudinea, Piscicolidae), is recorded in Cuban waters, collected on the skin, below the dorsal fin of Ginglymostoma cirratum (Bonnaterre, 1788) (Chondrichthyes: Ginglymostomatidae) in a fishbowl of the National Aquarius of Cuba. The species has been found parasitically on a wide elasmobranquios range in the tropical area of the world oceans
