| Spanish abstract | El golfo de Ana María constituye una zona con grandes reservas naturales y de condiciones climáticas muy específicas, que la ubica como favorable para explotar por dos sectores económicos de importancia nacional: la pesca y el turismo; el que cobra mayor auge en los últimos años. Se realizó una evaluación de las condiciones hidrometeorológicas en su porción central, determinándose en diecisiete puntos de muestreo durante octubre de 2011, el comportamiento de cinco elementos meteorológicos: nubosidad, dirección y velocidad del viento, temperatura y fenómenos atmosféricos. Todas las mediciones y observaciones fueron realizadas por medio de una metodología elaborada previamente, aplicable a zonas alejadas del alcance máximo de las estaciones de superficie. Los valores de temperatura, así como el comportamiento de la nubosidad y los fenómenos atmosféricos extremos, son representativos de la época y propios de un clima marítimo. Estos resultados incrementan los niveles cognoscitivos sobre las características del tiempo y el clima en esta área geográfica |
| English abstract | Ana Maria gulf is a zone with excellent natural characteristics and specific climatic conditions, favorable for two economic sectors very important: fishing and tourism, the second sector is more developed in the later years. There were evaluated the hidrometeorological conditions on the central portion of Ana Maria gulf, studying seventeen points in October 2011 the behavior of five meteorological elements: cloudiness, wind (direction and speed), temperature and atmospheric phenomena. All the measured and observed development were made through a methodology elaborated for this objective, applicable in zones without meteorological stations. The values of temperature, as well as the behavior of the cloudiness and the atmospheric phenomena, are representatives of the annual epoch and of a maritime clime. These results increase knowledge on the characteristics of clime and time in this geographical area |
