| Spanish abstract | Se presentan los resultados de un estudio biométrico en 130 ejemplares de Chromis cyanea capturados en el litoral norte de La Habana. Esta especie posee importancia para las exhibiciones en el Acuario Nacional. Se tomaron 11 medidas corporales, y se calcularon 11 relaciones proporcionales 8 regresiones lineales con la longitud horquilla (LH), con el objetivo g eneral de caracterizar la especie. Las relaciones de la longitud total y la longitud estándar con la altura del cuerpo, presentaron valores con un recorrido mayor que el reportado en la literatura. Los machos maduros fueron más altos sign ificativamente que los no maduros. Se presentan las ecuaciones de las relaciones largo-peso para cada sexo |
| English abstract | The results of the biometric study of 130 individuals of Chromis cyanea are presented. The fishes were caught at Havana city littoral. Chromis cyanea is a very important species for exhibition. Eleven body measures were taken, 11 proportional relationships and 8 lineal regressi ons to fork length (LH) were calculated in order to characterize the species. The relati onships of the standard le ngth and the total length with the height of the body LE/AC and LT / AC presented high er values that the one reported in the literature. The mature males were higher significantly that those not mature. The equati ons of the relationships length-weigth are presented for each sex |
