| Spanish abstract | Este artículo realiza un análisis de la estrategia política del Partido Demócrata Cristiano (PDC) durante el primer año de la dictadura militar chilena. Se enfatiza en su política de alianzas y sus relaciones internas, seleccionando algunas coyunturas clave en su relación con la Unidad Popular así como su reacción al golpe militar y al primer año de la dictadura. A través de un examen de su documentación interna, el artículo pretende demostrar el predominio de la DC de posiciones conservadoras, a pesar de que las posiciones partidarias no son únicas, lo que explica un intenso debate interno en los inicios de la dictadura |
| English abstract | This article presents an analysis of the political strategy of the Christian Democratic Party (PDC) during the first year of the Chilean military dictatorship. It emphasizes its policy of alliances and internal relations, selecting some key junctures in its relationship with the Popular Unity and its reaction to the Military Coup and the first year of the dictatorship. Through a review of its internal documentation, the article seeks to demonstrate the dominance of conservative positions DC, even though the party positions are not unique, which explains an intense internal debate at the beginning of the dictatorship |
