| Spanish abstract | Este artículo aborda elementos de diversidad, unidad y continuidad del Pueblo Mapuche en el contexto de la dictadura militar, 1973 a 1978. Se sostiene que el Pueblo Mapuche al ser un sujeto social, desarrolla un sistema de respuestas que le permite sostenerse como cuerpo frente a un contexto colonial. De esta manera se expondrán los discursos, acciones, formas o estrategias, tanto de los militares como los mapuche para intervenir en el escenario político, en este periodo, y ubicando espacialmente este fenómeno en la IX Región. Se presentarán hitos, que a nuestro juicio, son relevantes para entender antagonismos y unidades, así como los elementos que posibilitaron la identidad y continuidad como pueblo |
| English abstract | This article discusses Mapuche people’s diversity, unity and continuity elements within the military dictatorship’s context, between 1973-1978. It is argued that the Mapuche people, constituted by social subjects, generates a response system that allows reassuring itself as a single entity against colonialism. In this way, we are going to present the speech, actions, forms or strategies, from both the military and the Mapuche people for intervening in the political scene during this period, in the IX region. We address facts, which in our view, are relevant to understand antagonisms and unities, and the elements that made possible both identity and continuity as a people |
