| Spanish abstract | Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el pro-ceso de liberalización limitada del régimen de Pinochet y de las Fuerzas Armadas de Chile en el período 1981-1985. Por medio de las memorias, discursos, prensa y documentos oficiales, visamos identificar los actores y circunstancias que crearan la primera gran posibilidad de derrocar la dicta-dura chilena. Para este fin, intentamos analizar el proceso de transición democrática desde un punto de vista que conjugue las demandas sociales de las protestas 1983-1984 y los debates internos del gobierno de Pinochet. | English abstract | This article aims to analyze the process of liberalization limited Pinochet and the Chilean Armed Forces in 1981-1985. Through reports, speeches, press and official documents, we targeted identifying actors and circumstances that created the first good chance of overthrowing the Chilean dictatorship. To this end, we try to analyze the process of democratic transition from a perspective that combines social demands of the 1983-1984 protests and internal debates of the Pinochet government |
