| Spanish abstract | El artículo plantea la estructura de los sistemas de información del sector trasportador de carga terrestre en Colombia para la toma de decisiones. La información disponible no concuerda en cifras y datos a la hora de llevarlo a análisis. El análisis sectorial evidencia la trascendencia de dicho sistema de información, para corregir las fallas en la gestión del transporte. La reciprocidad entre el producto interno bruto (PIB) y el transporte por carretera aún tiene problemas de rezago. La disposición de información económica en materia de transporte es discontinua. De allí, la trascendencia de materializar una política económica e industrial dirigida al sector. | English abstract | The article raises the structure of the information systems of the trasportador sector of land cargo in Colombia for decision-making. The information is available, not matched in facts and figures when carrying it to analysis. Sectorial analysis, evidence of the significance of this information system to correct the flaws and failures in the management of the transport. The reciprocity between gross domestic product and the road transport still has problems of backwardness. The provision of economic information in the field of transport is discontinuous. From there, the significance of materializing an economic and industrial policy aimed at the sector.
