| English abstract | The author conducts an historical revision of corporate matters in commercial legislation and their bearing on company law. He revisits the debate about the enactment date of the Code of Commerce. To this effect, he reviews the relevant literature and policy debates surrounding the enactment of the Code of Commerce and Business Organizations Act. This article contains a thematic analysis of the Business Organizations Act and looks forward to developments in the pipeline in company law. The author concludes the article by drawing a set of conclusions on the basis of his discussion of the subject |
