| English abstract | Through reflections on the “adventure of living” and the representations of death, stimulated by reading some excerpts from the literature, particularly the work of “The Raven”, it seeks to address the signifi - cance of the loss of another, especially when the other represents an affective extension of the self; it is also made some considerations on the representations of the notion of time coming from the changing circumstances of life in society from the nineteenth century in the Western World, concluding with reflec - tions on the adventure of living stimulated by fear of loss that death imposes |
