| Spanish abstract | Hoy en día el ser humano se enfrenta al mundo médico y a los cuidados desde la concepción, a lo largo de su trayectoria biográfica y hasta la muerte. Deseada y necesaria, impuesta o rechazada, se trata de una interacción compleja y paradójica. De este modo se constituye la base social y cultural de un nuevo suceso, nos referimos a la medicalización de la vida y a la preocupación creciente por la búsqueda de la salud. Sin embargo, en nuestras sociedades los problemas contemporáneos que redefinen a la persona han transformado la estructura general de nuestra experiencia existencial, moral y corporal así como nuestros juicios y nuestras acciones. En una lógica dominada por la oferta y la demanda, la salud se ha elevado hoy día al rango de ideal supremo, de moral unánime. Es una sociedad donde la aprehensión del cuerpo ha generado paulatinamente dinámicas de relación con uno mismo, con los demás y con el mundo. Este estado es de hecho innovador y se inscribe evidentemente en un proceso histórico. ¿Cómo es que llegamos allí? |
| English abstract | Nowadays, from conception to death, by the way of their whole biographical trajectories, human beings are confronted to the world of medical care. Desired, imposed or rejected, this complex and paradoxical interaction constitute the social and cultural base on which emerge the medicalization of life and the growing preoccupation about health. However, the contemporary issues that it contained redefi ne the human being, through the transformation of our whole experiential, existential, moral and bodily structure as such as our judgments and actions. In a logic dominated by supply and demand, health is today improved to the rank of supreme ideal, of unanimous morality, in a society where the dynamics of developing a relationship with oneself, with others and the world, they are built more and more in the apprehension of the body. This state of fact is not new and evidently inscribes itself in a historical process. How did they get there? |
