| Spanish abstract | El artículo analiza los diversos elementos teatrales y espectaculares integrados en las celebraciones hagiográficas barrocas, desde los que tienen índole parateatral hasta los más específicamente teatrales. Basándose sobre todo en las relaciones de las fiestas jesuíticas de las primeras y últimas décadas del siglo XVII, con las beatificaciones y canonizaciones de San Ignacio, San Francisco Javier y San Francisco de Borja se destacan una serie de menciones y datos sobre las comedias, diálogos y otras formas teatrales que formaban parte esencial de dichas celebraciones festivas |
| English abstract | This article discusses the various theatrical and spectacular elements integrated into the hagiographie celebrations, both paratheatrical and more specifically theatrical performances. Based mainly in the Jesuit relations of the feasts ofthe first and last decades of the seventeenth century with the beatification and canonization of San Ignacio, San Francisco Javier and San Francisco de Borja. The article highlights a number of references and aspects on the comedies, tragedies, dialogues and other theatrical forms that were an essential part of hagiographic celebrations |
