English abstract Since July 2006 I am engaged in research and writing papers on History of Flower Industry in Brazil. The book will be published in Portuguese by September 2008. The book is about flower demands and production history since 1940 until the present about not only Japanese Brazilian’s but all flower producers’. Of course research time is so limited, it mainly covers achievements in the State of Sao Paulo. The book described a history of four major flower production regions of Holambra, Atibaia, Mogi das Cruzes and Ibiuna in SP, and flower trade experiences of Cooperativa Agropecuária Holambra and Cooperative Veiling Holambra. I also researched the history of flower production by immigrants from Italy, Germany and others since the beginning of the 20th century, and introduced some of them quite in brief in the book. Here I would like to introduce the short history of flower demands and Japanese Brazilian’s flower production. In this paper flower production means production to earn income or benefits at commercial base
