With a surface are smaller than Paraíba state it exported US$ 170,3 million in plants in 2005. Costa Rica´s main production is based on green and indoor plants, such as Dracaena, Aglaonemas and palm trees. It´s dynamic private sector has benefited from both the favorable historical background of the country in Central America, as well as support from the government to the sector.
