| Spanish abstract | Se estudian los argumentos de dos discursos emblemáticos de Salvador Allende: El Discurso de la Victoria (septiembre de 1970) y el Último Discurso (septiembre de 1973). Se aplica la clasificación de Perelman y Olbrechts- Tyteca (1989), se analizan los argumentos característicos, se interpretan y se realiza un análisis comparativo para determinar qué tipos de argumentos distinguir a cada uno. En el Discurso de la Victoria, se usan mayoritariamente argumentos que apelan a estructuras lógicas, lo que permite justificar de manera racional loque un sector de la sociedad chilena todavía le cuesta entender: el triunfo electoral de un candidato socialista. El Último Discurso, en cambio, presenta más argumentos basados en la estructura de lo real, lo que permite sustentar la argumentación en la fuerza de los hechos que acontecen el 11 de septiembre de 1973: el golpe de estado en Chile |
| English abstract | The arguments of two iconic speeches of Salvador Allende are studied. Discurso de la Victoria (September 1970) and Último Discurso (September 1973). The study applies the classification of Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca (1989). It analyzes the typical arguments, it interprets them and then a comparative analysis is carried out to determine the type of argument that characterizes each of them. In the Argument of the Victory, arguments mostly appealing to logical structures are used. This allows rationally justify a fact that one sector of the Chilean society is still struggling to understand: the electoral victory of a socialist candidate. The last Argument however, presents more arguments based on what is real. This permits to support the argumentation on the force of the events occurred on September 11, 1973: the coup d’etat |
