| English abstract | The memory as instrument of power tries to constitute and to control the individual, also in the professional option, thus it is distinguished the existence of works more chosen by women and other for men. Amongst the professions historically destined to the feminine gender, the professor function involves a historical aiming, a memory and justifications that invoke biological differences to say that it is “natural” that the woman opts to this profession. Therefore, in this article I intend to analyze the forces that confront in the formation of the professional choice and the memory of some interviewed “normalistas” (the pupils of the previous courses to the graduation of formation for teachers of elementary education), proceeding from a Institute of formation of professors situated in a zone far from of the city of Rio de Janeiro/Brazil |
| Portuguese abstract | A memória enquanto instrumento de poder tenta constituir e controlar o indivíduo, inclusive na opção profissional, desta forma destaca-se o fato de existirem ofícios mais procurados por mulheres e outros por homens. Dentre as profissões historicamente destinadas ao gênero feminino, a função de professor envolve um direcionamento histórico, uma memória e justificativas que invocam diferenças biológicas para dizer que é “natural” que a mulher opte por essa profissão. Portanto, neste artigo pretendo analisar as forças que se afrontam na formação da escolha profissional e da memória de algumas normalistas entrevistadas (as alunas dos cursos médios – anterior à graduação – de formação para professoras de 1ª a 4ª séries do ensino fundamental), provenientes de um Instituto de formação de professores situado em uma zona afastada da cidade do Rio de Janeiro/Brasil |
